Medical Assistant – Wellness &  Health Services – Daylight Schedule  (On-site, Loretto, PA 15940)

• Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with full benefits; not a temporary job)
• Location: Loretto, PA 15940 (Cambria County)
• Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (Daylight schedule in an onsite wellness clinic;  no weekends or holidays required )
• New Hire Starting Base Pay: $18.59 – $20.93 per hour (Starting salary placement is determined by direct clinical assistant, phlebotomy, medical office, or health promotion experience.)
• Future Earning Potential: Position salary range progresses up to $27.96 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and administrative/clinical career ladder advancement.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required. 
• Secondary or post-secondary education in Health Sciences, Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation Therapy Technology, or Health Assistant programs.  Certified Medical Assistant highly preferred .
• Experience & Certifications: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office or clinical environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and first aid required.
• Systems Knowledge & Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace operating systems, EMR charting platforms, automated scheduling/financial modules, and telemedicine peripheral tools.
• Clinical & Communication Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, biometric screenings (blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, BMI), vaccine/injection administration (under provider direction), and strong interpersonal communication skills.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Direct Patient Care & Biometric Screenings: Accompany patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and point-of-care labs, conduct biometric assessments, and administer medications/vaccines under clinical provider supervision.
• Onsite Health Promotion & Education: Provide general health education, facilitate telemedicine visits, set up screening/wellness events, and connect patients with community and organizational health resources.
• Patient Intake & Financial Navigation: Greet visitors, register patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, collect/reconcile co-payments, and manage patient checks-in/check-outs.
• Clinic Operations & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain medical record charts in compliance with HIPAA, manage inventory and supply distribution, uphold OSHA/CLIA/Department of Health regulatory standards, and maintain an organized clinic setting.
