The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and have a passion for patient care in a dynamic environment.Unit Information\n The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) features:\n \n Number of Suites: 16 (3 dedicated to CVOR)\n Average Number of Cases per Day: 30 (1-2 open heart surgeries/day)\n Common Cases: Open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic procedures\n Shift Details\n \n Shift Length: 12 hours\n Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n Typical Shift: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM\n Call Requirements: One weekday per week and one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) on rotation with staff\n Response Time for Call: 30 minutes\n Qualifications\n \n Minimum 2 years of experience in CVOR\n Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS preferred\n Experience with open heart and/or endovascular procedures\n Role Responsibilities\n The CVOR Registered Nurse will be responsible for:\n \n Administering patient care in the CVOR setting\n Scrubbing only to hold the heart and assist in closing the chest\n Floating to General OR as needed based on caseload\n Team and Environment\n The CVOR team includes:\n \n 8 OR techs in the CVOR department\n Charge Nurse/House Supervisors: Gloria and Brooke\n Orientation and Training\n New hires will undergo a comprehensive one-week orientation, which may include remote modules.
