Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 05/12/2024 Hourly pay: $41.91 OT : 1.5 Weekly Pay : $1,508.76 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Department: Oncology Surgical Unit Shift timing: 07:00-19:30 Hours Monday to friday (3 Days/12 Hours) Per Week: 36 Hours. Roles & Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current Med/Surg Oncology Surgical experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- Active unencumbered Indiana state license
- One year of Cerner experience

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
