Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry (12-Hour Nights)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts (1900-0730) with weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in this Cardiac Telemetry unit will provide care for patients requiring monitoring and management of cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include reading telemetry strips, administering medications, and providing patient education. The nurse will work as part of a team to ensure high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on telemetry for arrhythmias and other cardiac issues.
• Titrate Heparin drips as part of the medical management plan.
• Perform admissions and discharges for patients, ensuring a comprehensive handoff and documentation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
• Assist in performing EKGs when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience in Cardiac Telemetry is preferred.
• Ability to read telemetry strips proficiently.
