Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Pediatrics

As a Locum Pediatrician, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical care to children and adolescents. Your expertise will help ensure that our patients receive timely and effective treatment, making a significant impact on their health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric patients
• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments
• Diagnose and treat a variety of pediatric conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Stay informed about advancements in pediatric medicine

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in pediatric care (Associate level preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate care to patients
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus

Schedule: 7x 24-hour call shifts per month

Level II Nursery

Daily Volume: 2-3 patients

Duties: Attend vaginal deliveries if requested, attend all scheduled and emergent c-sections, admit/discharge newborns, admit/care for pediatric patients, and perform circumcisions 

Required Procedures: Circumcisions, newborn resuscitation/intubations/UVC, and lumbar punctures

Support Staff: Nurses, anesthesia, OB/GYNs, respiratory therapists, and local pediatricians

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
