About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, RN Must-Have: - Thoracic and vascular experience, including heart and valve replacements. - Strong skills in cardiac procedures. Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Traveler is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. Unit staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CST per room, turnover staff, 1 charge RN, and 4:1 anesthesia coverage. The on-call policy requires 3 call shifts (12 hours) for four weeks. The facility uses advanced technology including an XI Robot and a Mako joint robot. Documentation is managed through a Meditech system. The unit performs surgical procedures in general, trauma, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, plastic surgery, and neuro cases, with a focus on cardio/thoracic surgeries. The position requires advanced skills including general circulating knowledge, patient positioning, and preparation for surgical cases.
