Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Lexington Physical Therapy, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations, including gathering detailed medical histories and performing specific assessments to inform treatment plans.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, ensuring they understand evaluation findings and therapeutic goals.
  • Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols, adjusting them according to patient progress and responses to therapy.
  • Engaging in regular consultations with other healthcare professionals to facilitate integrated patient care and adapt treatment strategies when necessary.
  • Documenting patient care activities meticulously, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure compliance and clear communication.
  • Maintaining a productive schedule, effectively managing time to meet departmental productivity standards, while also participating in community outreach and marketing initiatives.
  • Contributing towards departmental goals and actively participating in compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Encouraging professional development through continuous education and serving as a mentor for students and new staff within the department.
  • Striving to create an exceptional patient experience by being adaptable, responsive, and attentive to individual patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate degree (DPT) is preferred.
  • A valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in New Jersey.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems and basic office software.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with flexibility.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a solid understanding of rehabilitation methodologies and protocols. Familiarity with specialized equipment and treatment approaches will be an advantage, as will experience with patient education and community advocacy.
