This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex accounting challenges, improving processes, and partnering with leaders across the business to support strategic growth.About the RoleThe Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across our multi-entity, multi-state operations. In this role, you'll partner closely with the Controller, FP&A, and Operations teams to manage the monthly close process, maintain balance sheet integrity, support audits and compliance, and provide financial insights that help drive business decisions.If you're analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoPrepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, accounts payable, and other key accountsAssist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliationsMaintain accounting schedules and supporting documentation in accordance with US GAAP and company policiesPerform account and variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvementPartner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting questions and support business initiativesSupport internal and external audit activities, including interim testing and annual financial statement auditsAssist with financial compliance across multiple states and business entitiesMaintain fixed asset records and track capital expenditures for new store openings, remodels, and equipment purchasesSupport lease accounting (ASC 842), including new lease setup, modifications, and monthly accountingAssist with inventory accounting, cost of goods sold analysis, inventory reserves, and cycle count reconciliationsPrepare and support multi-state sales and use tax filingsReconcile intercompany transactions and assist with consolidations and eliminationsPrepare schedules supporting ownership reporting, lender compliance, and financial reporting requirementsCollaborate with FP&A and Operations leadership to research and explain financial performance at the store and regional levelIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase the efficiency of the monthly closeProvide support to Accounts Payable, Payroll Accounting, or other accounting functions as business needs requireWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance2+ years of public accounting, audit, or corporate accounting experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and US GAAPAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP systemExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlinesExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial partnersSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyPreferred QualificationsCPA license or actively pursuing CPA certificationExperience supporting multi-entity, multi-state organizationsRetail, automotive, or service industry accounting experienceExperience with lease accounting (ASC 842)Familiarity with private equity-backed or rapidly growing organizationsWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationPaid Time Off401(k) with company matchMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability benefitsStable work environment with opportunities for professional growthOngoing learning and developmentA collaborative team culture where your ideas and contributions make an impactIf you're looking for an opportunity to grow your accounting career while helping support a rapidly expanding organization, we'd love to hear from you.
