Clinical Dietitian (Pediatric Oncology)

The Clinical Dietitian will display effective nutrition care, apply critical thinking skills and provide effective communication and education skills in daily practice. What you will do includes delivering effective nutrition care, demonstrating proficiency in professional judgment and strategic thinking in practice, and providing education to staff, interns, and other health care professionals in the hospital in the area of expertise. Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned and complying with all policies and standards.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition if established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023, or a Master's Degree in Food & Nutrition. Three or more years of working as a clinical dietitian in a health care facility is preferred. Required proficiencies include competent skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and apply the nutrition care process to patient care, evaluate and recommend nutrition needs based on specific combined objective/subjective information for a clinical nutrition assessment, and assess patient's condition and provide appropriate interventions. Required licenses include a Licensed Dietitian in the State of Ohio and a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
