About the role

We are hiring a Senior Manager of FP&A to partner closely with the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis in leading the day-to-day operations of the function. This role will take primary ownership of corporate, G&A, and enterprise headcount planning and forecasting processes while providing flexible analytical capacity across commercial, clinical, technical operations, and strategic initiatives. You will help professionalize and scale core FP&A processes so the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis can effectively run the operational side of the organization as the company transitions toward commercial launch. This is a high-visibility individual-contributor role with significant influence on how the FP&A function supports rapid growth and decision-making.

Essential Functions

• Support Director, Financial Planning & Analysis for the annual operating plan, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly variance analysis for G&A functions and overall company headcount planning.
• Lead headcount forecasting, scenario modeling, and cross-functional alignment with HR and functional leaders; clearly link headcount plans to opex and cash-runway impacts.
• Drive continuous improvement in corporate consolidation, management reporting packages, and performance commentary for leadership reviews using both Excel and planning software.
• Partner with Accounting on month-end processes, accruals, and data quality to ensure reliable forecast inputs and variance analysis.
• Provide flexible support to clinical trial finance, technical operations/CMC (outsourced manufacturing model), and Commercial analyses as directed by the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis operations.
• Strengthen FP&A processes, planning calendars, templates, documentation, and tools to increase scalability, consistency, and efficiency.
• Prepare clear, insightful analyses and presentations that support the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to embed driver-based planning and financial discipline across the organization.
• Contribute to ad-hoc strategic projects and long-range planning inputs as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
• Seven to ten plus (7-10+) years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally including time in a high-growth biotech, pharmaceutical, or life-sciences company.
• Experience with corporate consolidation and preparation of management or board-level reporting packages.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills; experience with enterprise planning tools (Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar) strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting organizational scaling preferred.
• Demonstrated hands-on ownership of budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and variance analysis.
• Strong business partnering skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into concise insights.
• Proven ability to improve processes and operate effectively amid ambiguity and rapid change.
