Associate Veterinarian - Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital

Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team at Mt. Yonah Veterinary Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high‑quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Director. What We Offer Competitive base salary: $150,000 - $170,000 + Production Bonuses (no negative accrual option available) Signing, retention and relocation packages up to $100,000 Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid Parental Leave (birth, adoption, foster) 401(k) with discretionary contribution Team Member Pet Discounts Emotional wellbeing support — including Calm app access and 24/7 EAP CE stipends and career development resources Grant Circle — a relief fund for team members facing personal hardship Local hospital culture backed by national resources Key Responsibilities Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups Client communication and education Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery Maintain accurate medical records Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols Promote teamwork and staff efficiency Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge Monitor cases and attend daily rounds when possible to uphold highest standards Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels Perform other duties as assigned by Management Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university Current State Veterinary License DEA registration, obtained and maintained 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent surgical and dental skills Team‑oriented work style Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care Effective communication with medical, staff, and clients in a timely manner Ability to elicit information, establish rapport, and explain treatment options to pet owners Confidence and reassurance when dealing with stressed, ill, or painful animals Capability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed Ability to perform moderately physically demanding tasks periodically Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in examining and assessing animals, including cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other necessary examinations Problem‑solving abilities for high‑quality veterinary hospital management Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and internal staff Professionalism in providing and receiving constructive feedback Business acumen to understand hospital management and finances Ethical knowledge guiding patient‑related decisions Commitment to continuing education and facilitation of others’ learning Email your resume to Hudson Cutshall at View email address on click.appcast.io.
