Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a medical observation unit
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications accurately
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with physicians
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and infection control
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Must be willing to start ASAP and commit to a 27-week assignment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Cerner electronic health records (preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of medical observation unit protocols
- Adaptability to changing patient needs and unit demands
