Data Entry Clerk/Packer

Description: Part Time Position 24+ hours weekly


Transferring data from a document into computer files or database systems. Typing in data provided directly from customers. Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.


Duties:

• Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into the computer
• Import and export data between different software
• Input data into databases and spreadsheets
• Maintain libraries of electronic storage media
• Organize electronic storage media
• Receive and register documents
• Verify accuracy and completeness of data
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Packer Duties:


Prepares products for delivery to customer by packing product in cartons; labeling cartons.


Duties:

1. Sets-up station by receiving packing order; gathering packing materials; notifying material handlers for required materials.
2. Approves products for shipment by inspecting product visually for deficiencies.
3. Packs cartons by folding carton; following prescribed arrangement; placing product in carton.
4. Finishes cartons by sealing openings; affixing shipping label.
5. Prepares pallets by following prescribed stacking arrangement; tagging pallets.
6. Documents actions by completing logs.
7. Maintains safe work environment by following standards and procedures.
8. Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
