Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake

Job Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering or enterprise data development roles.

• Proficiency in advanced SQL for architecting complex data transformations and large-scale analytical datasets.

• Experience with Snowflake production environments including workload optimization and cloud data modeling.

• Experience in Kafka for implementing near real-time streaming and event-driven data ingestion patterns.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Snowflake Cortex, or GitHub Copilot.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and establishing data observability frameworks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for partnering with business and analytics stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy end-to-end enterprise data pipelines within the Snowflake cloud ecosystem.

• Develop high-performance SQL transformation logic to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.

• Implement near real-time data ingestion workstreams utilizing Kafka-based streaming patterns.

• Lead the modernization of legacy EDW processes by transitioning workloads to cloud-native Snowflake architectures.

• Remediate technical debt by optimizing existing Snowflake workloads for enhanced reliability and scale.

• Design automated observability solutions to improve the transparency and quality of the enterprise data platform.

• Utilize AI coding agents to accelerate development cycles, testing, and technical documentation production.
