Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an Educational Diagnostician, supporting students across grade levels in a dynamic school environment near Gonzales, LA. This role spans the upcoming academic year, running from August 18, 2026, through May 24, 2027, and offers the flexibility of up to 29 hours per week. Qualified professionals will play a key part in helping students reach their fullest potential through accurate evaluations and interdisciplinary collaboration, with initial focus on the preschool evaluation team.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education Educational Diagnostician Certification (required)
• Experience in K-12 educational diagnostics or with preschool-aged children strongly preferred
• Familiarity with special education evaluation processes and compliance
• Ability to efficiently manage caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Must complete district-specific background check and fingerprinting requirements

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive educational assessments and evaluations for students, with a primary focus on preschool but may extend to K-12 as needs arise
• Compile, review, and interpret data to assist in eligibility determinations and individualized education program (IEP) development
• Provide detailed written and verbal reports to teams and families
• Consult and collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to address and support student needs
• Maintain meticulous records in accordance with confidentiality and district policy
