About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in acute care License: Must have valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Competence in rhythm strip interpretation Experience with cardiac drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem Description: Assess acute changes in patients. Work in a fast-paced environment. Chronic ventilator experience is preferred. Use of EKG is required. RN must be competent in rhythm strip interpretation. Must pass EKG strip test during orientation. Position requires competence in initiating and maintaining cardiac drips. The RN is responsible for all aspects of tracheostomy care and management. Rapid response teams and interdisciplinary support are available. Patient diagnoses may include MI, arrhythmia, CVA, syncope, DKA, CHF, post-pacemaker, stent, EP study, COVID, ESRD, and PE. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 35. Unit may have ratios of 1:6. Special equipment includes telemetry and IV pumps. Floating may be required. Must work every other weekend.
