Job Title

Travel Surgical Technician – Neuro Spine

Location

Birmingham, Alabama

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | On-Call Weekend Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in Neuro/Spine surgical procedures within a main operating room setting
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and equipment before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Operate and manage OR equipment in accordance with facility protocols
• Document and utilize the Cerner EMR system as required
• Participate in on-call rotation as evenly distributed by the OR Coordinator

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technician experience
• Demonstrated experience in Neuro/Spine, Vascular, and Orthopedic surgical specialties
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Ability to maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in a 24-bed OR environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgical system
• Experience in Maxillofacial surgical procedures
