Contract | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts | 19:00-07:00 | Every Third Weekend | Call Required (3 x 12-Hour Call Shifts Per Scheduling Period)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity obstetric patients in a high-risk Labor & Delivery setting, including intrapartum and surgical patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Maternal-Fetal Medicine attendings and fellows, OB/GYN residents, and dedicated social work services
• Support patients through labor, delivery, and recovery, coordinating seamlessly with antepartum and postpartum units
• Participate in obstetric emergencies utilizing rapid-access cesarean section operating rooms and dedicated OB triage rooms
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled within the unit's call rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals within 70 miles are not accepted
• Travelers may not work beyond 1 year consecutively at this facility; a 6-month break is required before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must be able to complete fit testing for respiratory mask compliance; shaving is required for proper mask seal - CAPRs and PAPRs are not permitted, and no medical or religious exemptions are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification preferred
• STABLE program certification preferred
