You are required to oblige with all safety and sanitation regulations as per NetCost policies. In addition, you are responsible for processing/packaging/stocking meat products according to NetCost Market Standards.Possesses extensive knowledge of the fresh meat products you are selling to the consumerTrain all new meat associate staffProperly wraps, scales and labels productMust ensure that all products are being priced accuratelyMaintain all meat related products in appropriate temperatureUse all equipment properly as per NetCost Market safety policies and proceduresResponsible for training and development of new and existing employees in all aspects of the job, such as stocking and merchandising, sales and service, record-keeping and department-specific tasksPractice safe food handling proceduresReceiving, storing, cutting and grinding meat all various types of meatReceive supplies, organize and maintain inventoryDress and groom according to NetCost Market policy including uniform, name badge and hat or hair restraint requirementsPerform duties in accordance with NetCost Market policies and standardsComplete all applicable department training programsAbility to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.Follow approved procedures for receiving, code-dating, preparing, storing, price-marking, scaling, and restocking products to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotationBe knowledgeable in and able to differentiate between all various types of Meat's and related merchandise including preparation for sale to costumerContribute to controlling freshness and quality control of the productHandle damaged and spoiled products according to Company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goodsCheck refrigeration equipment for proper performance regularly; report any failures immediatelyClean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulationsThe Company reserves the right to transfer anyone at any time for any reason.Preferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency degreeMust be 18 and overExperience with meat cuttingAbility to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problemsAble to work well with others as a team memberMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsA passion for serving peopleAttention to detail and organization
