Position: PRN Nocturnist Gastroenterology Hospitalist Location: Arlington, VA (DC Metro / DMV Area)
VHC Health is seeking a Board-Certified GI Hospitalist to join our growing, patient-centered program at our main hospital campus in Arlington, Virginia-a leading medical hub in the Washington, DC metro region.
This opportunity is ideal for Gastroenterologists interested in providing high-acuity GI care in an overnight inpatient call structure with a flexible schedule.

Available Shifts
- Weekday Shift: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM call (holding pager, availability for emergent procedures or in-house consults)
- Weekend Shift: 5:00 PM Friday - 7:00 AM Monday (call coverage, holding pager, covering inpatient consults and procedures)
Position Responsibilities
- Provide clinical overnight inpatient gastroenterology services
- Manage acute GI conditions and other urgent/emergent presentations
- Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine, ICU, and Hospitalist teams
- Ensure timely documentation and structured handoff to daytime GI physicians
- Support VHC Health's mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Experience with inpatient GI and endoscopy preferred (new graduates with strong training encouraged to apply)
- Eligible for or licensed by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
