Construction Customer Service / Sales Representative

Full-Time | $23–$28/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible) Minimum of 2 + years of experience in the construction, building materials, or related trade industry required! About the Role Builders Stair Supply is seeking experienced Customer Service / Sales Representatives with a background in the construction, building materials, or trades industry. This role supports contractors, builders, and homeowners with staircase components and installation projects. This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must be comfortable working with construction terminology, project scopes, and technical product details. This role also offers a clear path into an Estimator position for candidates who demonstrate strong technical ability. Key Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person Assist contractors and homeowners with product selection and project planning Interpret basic construction plans, measurements, and specifications Prepare estimates for parts orders and installation projects Provide guidance on staircase components, building codes, and installation best practices Deliver a high level of service throughout the sales process No cold calling required Required Qualifications (Must-Have) Minimum 2+ years of experience in the construction, building materials, or related trade industry Working knowledge of construction terminology, measurements, and job site processes Experience reading or working from blueprints, drawings, or project specs preferred Strong communication and customer-facing skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in stair systems, millwork, carpentry, or similar trades Estimating or takeoff experience Compensation & Benefits $23–$28/hour (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) Paid time off (PTO) Vacation and holiday pay Why Join Builders Stair Supply?
