Senior Research Analyst Salary: $61,405.00 - $68,072.00 Annually Job Type: Administrative Full Time Job Number: 2606 A 023 Location: Wharton Campus, 911 Boling Highway, Wharton, TX Department: President's Area Closing Date: 7/27/2026 10:00 AM Central General Description The Senior Research Analyst will be responsible for internal research projects and external surveys, including official college responses to IPEDS, College Board, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), and other agencies that collect data for public relations and other purposes. This position will support the Institutional Research office with data analysis, data management, and data warehouse support and administration. The full job description can be viewed on the Wharton County Junior College Website at Requirements This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in computer information systems or an equivalent eight years of work experience in programming or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience writing and maintaining SQL queries with documentation in Banner SaaS/Ellucian reporting environments, including PostgreSQL-based queries, Banner/ODS reporting views, Ellucian Insights, Argos, and related institutional reporting tools. This position requires knowledge of institutional reporting requirements, preferably in a higher education context. The incumbent in this position must be skilled in proofreading, demonstrate superior clerical and computer data-entry skills. A criminal background check is required.
