Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.)

Kforce has a client in Minneapolis, MN that is seeking a Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.) to lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) projects supporting municipal and industrial facilities. This role will serve as a technical leader responsible for design, power system studies, automation systems, and project execution from concept through commissioning. This position is full remote. Responsibilities:

Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls system design projects
Perform power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, and motor starting analyses
Develop and review P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and related design documentation
Design PLC, HMI, and SCADA network architectures
Serve as Engineer of Record and provide sealed Arizona design deliverables
Conduct QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers
Support construction, startup, commissioning, RFIs, and submittal reviews
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
5+ years of electrical and/or controls engineering experience
Strong NEC knowledge and AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
Experience with PLC and HMI/SCADA systems
Proven ability to lead projects through design and construction

Preferred:

Experience with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower
Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam experience
PLC/HMI programming experience
Municipal, water/wastewater, mining, industrial, utility, infrastructure, or data center project experience
Consulting engineering background
