Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves providing patient care for individuals with various medical conditions, including those requiring port access, TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition)/Lipid administration, PICC line management, wound maintenance, and NG tubes. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with clock-in at 6:53 AM; must be present for huddle at 7:00 AM. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, at least 2 years of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit; 3 years preferred. Current license and certifications must be valid and active.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications or experience in vascular access, wound care, or related specialties are desirable.
• Float: Float to mixed acuity only.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes 24 hours (3 days) NEO orientation, with one 12-hour shift at the end of week one and another at the start of week two. Support teams include certified nursing assistants, receptionists, charge nurses, vascular access teams, sepsis resource teams, RT, hospitalists, specialists, intensivists, remote telemetry monitoring, and technology such as Cerner EMR, Plum ICU Medical infusion pumps, Philips monitors, sera steady, Arjo lifts, kangaroo pump, and sapphire pump for PCA. The facility enforces scheduled days off, especially around holidays.
