Project Engineer II

Project Engineer IIMortenson is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer II with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Project Engineer will review, provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants.ResponsibilitiesInterpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft personsImplement the pre-construction quality plan and manage testing and inspection processesObtain and maintain construction permits; manage fee payments and recurring expensesDevelop and maintain Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, and Non-Conformance ReportManage, create, and distribute contract documents; establish handling procedures for electronic documents (RFIs, correspondence)Manage submittals: set up register, obtain customer/architect approval, prepare transmittal forms, coordinate packaging, review, and processingExpedite submittals to align with project schedule; communicate submittal process details to subcontractors and suppliersIncorporate processes and procedures for project closeout phase; define and implement procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-built construction documentsMentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers; determine alternative work methods as neededCoordinate safety and compliance for all team members; maintain schedule of timelines and ensure completionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction ManagementMinimum of three years related construction experienceDetail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesStrong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skillsProven positive and professional attitude and customer service skillsCurrent driver's licenseA few benefits offered include:Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $93,400 MIN - $126,100 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
