Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will remotely support strategic decision-making by analyzing complex business data, creating insightful reports and dashboards, and communicating findings clearly to stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical thinking, data mining, and visualization skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights that drive business improvements. Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders with clear visualizations and explanations.
• Use BI tools and data analytics software to analyze data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights.
• Conduct data analysis and generate meaningful insights from large data sets.
• Write, execute, and analyze SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
• Create ad-hoc and standard SSRS reports documenting data analysis results.
• Utilize tools such as SQL, MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI to handle large volumes of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business data needs and goals.
• Develop and evaluate business processes, troubleshoot BI tool issues, and optimize performance and usability.
• Ensure accuracy and validity of data sets and reports.
• Organize and synthesize data to identify fundamental issues and logical outcomes.
• Identify options and solutions based on data analysis findings.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and applications using Visual Basic to streamline reporting tasks.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with SQL and Excel for data analytics.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and data analysis software.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
• Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite applications.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with Visual Basic (VB) for automation and scripting.
• Interest and aptitude for working with AI tools and technologies.
• Experience with MS Access and advanced Excel features.
• Ability to synthesize feedback and adapt accordingly.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to foster teamwork.

• Remote work arrangement.
