Job Details Setting: Acute Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 9/28/2026 End Date: 12/28/2026 Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,980 - $2,080 Location: Hickory, North Carolina Unit Size: 8-bed CVICU with complex cardiac and critical care patient populations Common Equipment: Impella, IABP, and CRRT Charting System: Cerner Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license At least 1 year of recent CVICU or acute care nursing experience required 1.5 years of experience preferred for strong candidates Current ACLS and BLS certification required CCRN certification preferred Associate degree in Nursing or higher preferred Strong critical thinking skills in a high-acuity critical care setting Comfort caring for adult and geriatric cardiac patients Responsibilities Provide high-quality bedside nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular patients Monitor and assess patients recovering from CABG, TAVR, STEMI, carotid, and other complex cardiac procedures Manage advanced critical care equipment and support therapies as clinically indicated Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team Maintain accurate documentation and respond quickly to changes in patient condition Support safe, efficient care delivery in a fast-paced ICU environment Float per scheduled rotation as needed to meet unit needs Contribute to a patient-centered culture focused on safety, quality, and teamwork Apply now for this Hickory, NC travel nursing opportunity and join a collaborative CVICU healthcare team today.
