Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Acute Care

Occupational Therapist Home Health
Schedule: 8-hour days only
Assignment Details:
- Visit expectations: May see up to 6 patients/day (30 productivity points standard)
- Patient setting: Home Health visits (occasional maximum radius up to 50+ miles)
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year skilled home health OT experience
- Active or pending occupational therapy license
- BCLS certification
- Experience with EPIC and OASIS
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess patients' needs in home settings to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate rehabilitation programs focusing on ADLs/IADLs, orthopedic rehab (hip/knee, hand), and splinting techniques.
- Implement modalities such as TENS, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as part of treatment.
- Provide education and training to patients and families on techniques for daily activities and recovery strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

- Vaccine requirement: COVID primary series + one booster required.
