Class A CDL Truck Driver – Local Delivery

$28–$33 per hour based on experience and mechanical skills
Home Every Night • Monday–Friday • No Weekends • Local Routes

Darnall Concrete Products Co. is looking for an experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. We manufacture concrete manholes, septic tanks and other construction-related products and deliver them to jobsites throughout Central Illinois.

This is a local driving position with consistent hours, no weekend work, and home every night. Our normal delivery area is within approximately 60 miles of Bloomington/Normal .

We’re looking for a dependable, safety-minded driver who is comfortable operating manual-transmission trucks , handling heavy construction products, and working around jobsites. Mechanical ability is highly valued.

What You’ll Do

Safely operate manual-transmission tandem-axle flatbed trucks and semi tractor-trailers
Deliver concrete structures and construction products to local jobsites
Learn to unload products using a truck-mounted boom
Learn and become proficient in safe operation of the truck-mounted boom
Properly secure loads and inspect them before transportation
Navigate and position the truck safely at construction sites
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Perform routine truck maintenance and minor repairs
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems when needed
Help service and maintain trucks during slower periods to minimize downtime
Maintain a strong focus on safe driving, equipment operation and jobsite safety

What We’re Looking For

Valid Class A CDL
Must be legally qualified to operate manual-transmission commercial vehicles (no E restriction)
Experience driving manual-transmission trucks
Safe driving history and satisfactory MVR
Current DOT medical certificate
Ability to safely climb on and off truck beds and trailers
Ability to properly secure and handle heavy loads
Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English
Safety-conscious, dependable and responsible work habits
Willingness to learn truck-mounted boom operation

Experience That Is a Plus

Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:

Flatbed trucking
Boom truck operation
Concrete or precast concrete delivery
Construction-material delivery
Building-material delivery
Heavy equipment or construction work
Load securement
Diesel or truck maintenance
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair

We are especially interested in experienced Class A drivers who have strong mechanical skills and are comfortable working with construction equipment.
