Tech - IR/Special Procedures

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Tech is responsible for assisting with specialized radiologic procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting. They support the imaging team by preparing patients, operating advanced equipment, and ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and equipment for interventional radiology procedures.
• Operate Phillips Biplane imaging systems and other radiologic tools.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as PICC lines, C-lines, embolizations, and biopsies.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
• Document procedures accurately in the Meditech EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Current RT-R licensure required.
• BLS certification mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of IR or special procedures radiology experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills essential.
