Job Description A fast-growing technology company is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale next-generation AI capabilities that power customer-facing experiences and business-critical workflows. This role is ideal for a strong software engineer with hands-on experience deploying AI solutions into production environments. You will work on real-time AI systems, backend services, and agentic workflows that leverage large language models (LLMs) and machine learning technologies to solve complex business challenges. The team is looking for an engineer who can own solutions end-to-end, from architecture and development through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You'll partner closely with Product and Engineering teams while helping shape the future of AI-powered applications in a highly collaborative, innovation-driven environment. Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite per Week) Employment Type: Full-Time Base Salary: $127,000 - $220,000 Required Skills & Experience 4+ years of backend software engineering experience using Python, Go, Java, or similar languages 4+ years of experience deploying machine learning or large language model solutions into production environments Experience building scalable APIs, backend services, and microservices architectures Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and observability Experience creating monitoring, evaluation, and performance frameworks for AI applications Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Desired Skills & Experience Experience building agentic AI systems and autonomous workflows Hands-on experience with modern LLM frameworks and model serving platforms Experience designing highly available, real-time application architectures Familiarity with MLOps, model lifecycle management, and AI governance practices Experience supporting AI applications after deployment and driving continuous optimization What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities: 100% Hands On Design and develop backend services, APIs, and microservices that power AI-driven applications and workflows Integrate machine learning and large language models into scalable production environments Own AI features throughout the full development lifecycle, including implementation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization Build evaluation frameworks that measure AI quality, reliability, and performance Troubleshoot issues across AI systems, model-serving infrastructure, backend applications, and supporting services Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on architecture, system design, and technical planning initiatives Improve scalability, observability, performance, and reliability across AI platforms and services The Offer Competitive base salary of $127,000 - $220,000 Annual performance-based incentive opportunity Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI, LLM, and agentic workflow initiatives Significant ownership and influence over next-generation AI products You will receive the following benefits: Medical Insurance Dental Benefits Vision Benefits Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Parental Leave Life Insurance Disability Coverage Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
