Maintenance PositionInstall machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and drawings in a steel products industrial plant.Perform safety inspections.Repair and maintain industrial production and processing machinery.Perform basic welding, plumbing and fabrication of steel.Maintain machines and equipment. Calibrate or balance equipment and machinery.Perform related duties as assigned.Work in a safe manner by complying with all company safety policies to include the utilization of required PPE.Maintain a high degree of quality in performance and methods with regards to efficiency and safety.Perform other duties as assigned / assist production teams as necessary.HVAC knowledge is a huge plus.Basic qualifications: verifiable millwright / mechanical experience is required for this position. Candidates must be able to work all shifts and pass a pre-employment criminal background check. Applicants must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, squat, and work in other awkward positions. Candidates must have hands on experience with inspecting, servicing, repairing and rebuilding hydraulics equipment. Working overtime for maintenance days.Repairing and replacing pneumatic equipment, pumps, fans, blowers.Welding, fabricating, and installing parts.Changing gearboxes and chains, drives, belts, bearings.Performing preventative maintenance activities in an industrial environment.Ability to use heavy lifting equipment and lifts.Knowledge of burners, burner controls is a big plus.This position requires excellent attention to detail and strong motivation toward company, team and individual results.
