User Interface Designer (UX/UI)Here’s what you’ll be doingUse the UX process to ideate and iterate a project’s design from concept to implementationCreate UX assets of the appropriate fidelity to describe the intended experience, such as sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and mockupsSkin wireframes with consistent elements, while exploring multiple variations of treatmentsApply a wide variety of visual design principles for optimal UI experiencesCreate specifications and/or style sheets to be used by other designers and developersWork closely and collaboratively with the UX team, development teams, and business leadsPresent and defend design decisions with cross-functional teams in order to gain buy-inHelp design and implement design standards, interaction frameworks, and a patterns libraryIncorporate user research, personas, and user validation testing into design decisionsShow deep knowledge of the trends in UI best practicesTools you’ll need to knowAdobe Creative SuiteWireframing and prototyping tools (XD, Figma, Axure, Sketch, etc.)UX collaboration tools (Miro, Invision, Mural, etc.)PowerPoint and other presentation toolsFamiliarity with HTML and CSS frameworksQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or any design-related field3+ years as a User Experience Designer, UI Designer, Interaction Designer, or related fieldHigh level of skill in graphic design, with an eye for typography, a professional modern style, and a pixel-level attention to detailComfortable with design facilitation, collaboration, and heuristic evaluationExcellent communication and presentation skills – both in creating presentation materials and in-personCapable of understanding complex user workflows, large dataset visualizations, and incorporating usability research into design decisionsAbility to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervisionExtensive background in developing both enterprise and consumer application experiencesExperience with Agile methodologiesUnderstanding of Atomic Design conceptsFamiliarity with creating a UI design system, style guides, and design pattern librariesAbility to give and receive feedback gracefullyProactive and willingness to learnComfortable in creating and organization design documentationDesign portfolio Samprasoft
