Statistical Analyst

Join the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council (PHC4) and help improve healthcare transparency, cost, and quality across Pennsylvania. In this role youll work with real-world healthcare data that directly informs public reporting, policy decisions, and better outcomes for patients across the state.

  What youll do

• Analyze large healthcare datasets (including hospital discharge and claims data)
• Apply statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and key insights
• Design and execute studies to support healthcare policy and reporting initiatives
• Prepare reports, visualizations, and summaries for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve data quality, reporting, and analytics processes

What you need (minimum qualifications)

• Bachelors degree in statistics, epidemiology, data science, or a related field
• Experience or coursework with data analysis and statistical methods
• Proficiency with data tools such as SAS, SQL, and Excel

Nice to have (but not required)

• Masters degree in a related field
• Experience working with healthcare or payer claims data
• Experience with data visualization or reporting tools
• Background in technical or analytical report writing

Compensation & benefits

• Salary range: $60,000 $80,000 annually (based on experience)
