Job Description

Role Summary


Performs manufacturing operations in Betapure/IPC with guidance and increasing proficiency while following SOPs and standard work. Supports adherence to safety, quality, and ISO 9001 requirements while contributing to a culture of compliance. Performs first-piece and in-process inspections and applies stop-at-defect practices to prevent errors. Maintains accurate documentation and traceability of work performed. Escalates issues impacting safety, quality, or delivery to supervision. Participates in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives while building technical skills and cross-functional knowledge.


Key Responsibilities


Manufacturing Operations

• Operate production equipment in accordance with SOPs, work instructions, and safety guidelines
  
  

• Monitor equipment performance and notify supervision of issues impacting operations
  
  

• Perform basic equipment setup and changeovers following established procedures
  
  

• Support production output to meet established safety, quality, and productivity targets
  
  

• Stop production and escalate when conditions pose a risk to safety, quality, or compliance
  
  

Quality & Compliance

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections in accordance with defined procedures
  
  

• Ensure products meet established quality standards and escalate discrepancies
  
  

• Apply stop-at-defect principles and follow escalation procedures
  
  

• Accurately label materials and support traceability of production activities
  
  

• Complete required documentation and recording of production/quality data accurately in compliance with ISO 9001 integrity requirements
  
  

Equipment & Maintenance

• Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance tasks
  
  

• Identify and report equipment or process issues to appropriate personnel
  
  

• Support maintenance and engineering teams during troubleshooting activities
  
  

Safety & Work Environment

• Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures
  
  

• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work area (5S)
  
  

• Consistently utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  
  

• Contribute to a safe and team-oriented work environment
  
  

Education


High school diploma or equivalent required


Experience


Required:

• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
  
  

• Basic math skills including use of formulas, decimals, and fractions
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience in ISO 9001 environment
  
  

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  
  

• Experience with production equipment and quality testing
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or controlled cleanroom environment
  
  

• Ability to stand and walk for an 8-hour period while performing repetitive tasks
  
  

• Safely handle materials and operate equipment within defined environmental conditions
  
  

• Lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment up to 50 lbs as required
  
  

• Maintain workstation organization to support safety and operational flow
  
  

• Consistently wear required PPE and follow all safety and gowning protocols
  
  

• Adhere to cleanroom standards, including proper gowning, hygiene, and contamination control practices
  
  

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $17.71-$26.56.
