Guest Relations Rep

Patient Services Representative

Greets and welcomes patients, guests, and visitors. Maintains customer service work environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: One year previous customer service experience.

Usual Work Day: 8 Hours

Essential Functions:

• Ensures that inquiries and requests are addressed in a friendly and responsive manner.
• Anticipates the needs of patients, guests, and visitors and takes proactive measures to ensure their satisfaction.
• Demonstrates knowledge of department locations and directs guests using facility maps or other aids to appropriate locations.
• Responds immediately to guest inquiries.
• Provides proactively patient and guest comfort and emotional support as needed.
• Surveys lobby and surrounding area ensuring it is inviting and that visitors are being assisted as they enter.
• Utilizes service recovery skills as appropriate in problem solving situations.
• Promptly and courteously answers phones and provides clerical and administrative services as needed.
• Collaborates with security personnel on a continuous basis to provide a hospitable, welcoming and safe environment.
• Maintains awareness of current visitor restrictions and screens visitors appropriately. Greets governmental surveyors and notifies Director and Manager of Governmental Affairs of their presence.
• Checks mail twice a week and routes patient mail appropriately.
• Presents a professional image at all times.
• Maintains a moderate noise level.
• Maintains a neat and orderly front desk for a positive first impression.
• Adheres to wearing appropriate attire and maintenance.

• Occasional physical demands include: Sitting, Walking, Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders), Carry objects, Push/Pull, Twisting, Bending, Reaching forward, Reaching overhead, Squat/kneel/crawl, Wrist position deviation, Pinching/fine motor activities, Keyboard use/repetitive motion
• Continuous physical demands include: Talk or Hear
• Lifting Floor to Waist 15 lbs. Lifting Waist Level and Above 10 lbs.
• Sensory Requirements include: Accurate Near Vision, Accurate Far Vision, Color Discrimination, Minimal Depth Perception, Accurate Hearing
• Anticipated Occupational Exposure Risks Include the following: Bloodborne Pathogens, Chemical, Airborne Communicable Disease, Extreme Temperatures, Radiation, Uneven Surfaces or Elevations, Extreme Noise Levels, Dust/Particulate Matter
