Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled  Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing operations. This position plays a critical role in keeping production equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently while minimizing unplanned downtime.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-motivated problem solver with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to diagnose equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, support production needs, and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and optimize a wide variety of manufacturing machinery, equipment, automation systems, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain industrial automation systems, sensors, compressed air systems, mechanical drivetrains, and electrical control systems.
• Partner with the Engineering Team to improve existing automation systems and assist with the development, installation, and implementation of new automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot and maintain thermal control systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and heater-band controls.
• Work closely with the Production Team to identify and resolve equipment and process issues, improve efficiency, and minimize production downtime.
• Diagnose and work safely with electrical systems ranging from low-voltage analog signals and 24V DC control circuits to 115V AC single-phase and 208V AC three-phase power.
• Perform machine setups and production/job changeovers as required.
• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on critical plant equipment, including motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, cylinders, and related components.
• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns and other production support needs.
• Support production requirements based on operating demands, staffing levels, and planned or unplanned absences.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions to improve reliability, safety, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and training to associates, helping build maintenance and production team capabilities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment conditions, repairs, and follow-up requirements effectively.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and other departments.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance technician role or comparable industrial maintenance position.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, motors, sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate through email, cell phone, and other technology.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance and production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative with minimal direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with  Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)and industrial automation systems.
• HVAC experience, including troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial cooling and heating systems.
• Experience with machining, welding, fabrication, or other mechanical repair processes.
• Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, automation, or a related field.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production-floor methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
