The anticipated hourly range for this position is $19.60 - $20.96 USD hourly. Job Summary The Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering durable medical equipment to Apria patients in the home. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment. May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations. Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle. Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis. Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick‑up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs; distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel. Maintains supply component of patient profiles. Notify supervisor if any of the following items is discovered in the patient's home: Physical abuse of any family member Home environment unsafe for care ordered, such as unsanitary conditions or insufficient food for children Animals causing unsanitary conditions May clean and assist with the repair of equipment. Perform routine vehicle maintenance including checking gasoline, oil, tire pressure and brakes; report malfunctions to supervisor. Performs other duties as required. Supervisory Responsibilities N/A Minimum Required Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire. Minimum of three years driving history. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program. Must meet job-related requirements to comply with D.O.T., F.D.A. and accrediting body standards. Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal). Physical Demands Employees regularly use hands to write, use computers, operate a motor vehicle, use hand‑held devices, telephone and document imaging systems. Tasks require frequent sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, stooping and lifting. Strength aspects include carrying objects 10–100 lbs up to 350 ft, pushing/pulling 20–60 lbs, and gripping up to 15 lbs. Body positioning may involve climbing stairs and ladders, stepping in and out of vehicles, and reaching 20 in. near the body.
