Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Dearborn, MI, earning up to $52 per hour. Responsible for supporting students with cognitive impairments and collaborating with school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with cognitive impairments in a school setting according to IEP goals and district policies
Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Implement individualized teaching strategies and adapt curriculum as necessary to meet student needs
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly, documenting outcomes regularly
Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student growth and engagement
Qualifications:
Michigan Special Education Certification with Cognitive Impairment Endorsement
Minimum 1 year of experience in special education, supporting students with cognitive impairments
Strong communication skills and patience
Adaptability and ability to work collaboratively in a school setting
Successful completion of background checks and compliance with school district requirements
