Human Resources Specialist

Join our hybrid team in Washington, DC! Kearney & Company is looking for a Human Resource Specialist to contribute to an award-winning work culture.


Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Serves as the principal administrative point of contact for the Budget Directorates and Budget's Business Operations Directorate, providing a variety of administrative guidance and support requiring knowledge and analysis of a variety of areas.
• Provides support in coordinating and preparing memoranda, talking points, briefing materials, reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation ensuring correct formatting, grammar, and punctuation with little oversight.
• Provides Budget Staffing Assistance supporting coordinating with HR Manager for new hires, drafting detailee announcements and selection memo, updating the Budget Organization Chart, assist with new employee and detailee onboarding, creating and distributing new employee and detailee welcome emails.
• Provides administrative support for Budget Town Hall events, including updating Town Hall presentation slides and employee recognition events.
• Provides support, coordination, and logistics for OMB/DHS/Congressional Site visits. Monitors Office of Finance (OF)-Budget communications and OF HR Admin email boxes.
• Provides support to other administrative duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Ability to be onsite 3 days a week in Washington, DC
  • Able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
  • Strong communications; Strategic Communications; Workforce Development skill set
  • Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
  • Power BI experience

The expected salary range for this position is between $69,000 and $105,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
