Information Technology Specialist

Job Title: Information Support Specialist Position Summary We value providing superior customer service and are committed to the successful operation of our information technology systems. We are seeking an experienced Information Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in managing Microsoft 365 environments, supporting engineering applications, and providing end-user support across various platforms. This role requires excellent troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. Responsibilities Administer user accounts, groups, and devices through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and on-premises Active Directory. Manage mailboxes and distribution lists using Exchange Online. Provide client support for engineering applications such as SolidWorks, IBM DOORS, MATLAB, etc. Troubleshoot application access and performance issues. Perform patching and updates for Windows Server OS and Windows 11. Image and deploy Windows 11 machines for end-users. Configure and troubleshoot network printers. Utilize basic networking skills and command-line tools to diagnose and resolve network outages. Monitor and manage the Jira and ManageEngine ticket queues. Respond to and resolve tickets in a timely manner, ensuring high customer satisfaction. Track and enforce SLA compliance for all support requests. Perform initial triage of high-priority tickets and assign them to appropriate technical teams. Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests. Maintain documentation of processes and procedures for helpdesk team. Assist with hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues. Education: Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security bachelor's degree OR Equivalent Experience Certification(s) (preferred not required): CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ Experience: 3–5 years in IT support or systems administration roles. Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in enterprise IT environments. In-depth knowledge of Active Directory (AD) administration, including group policies, authentication, and identity management. Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, and Entra. Experience managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, including patching and performance optimization. Strong documentation skills for system configurations, policies, and procedures. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills to provide technical guidance to users and stakeholders.
