Job Description:
Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions, particularly in the medical imaging and computer vision domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and scale deep learning platforms and foundation models for healthcare applications.
- Develop robust ML pipelines for model training, testing, and inferencing using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and NVIDIA Triton.
- Optimize models for deployment across cloud, edge, and medical devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring AI solutions into production.
- Implement MLOps best practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
- 8+ years of ML engineering experience; strong in computer vision and medical AI.
- Expertise in Python, ML frameworks, and microservices (FastAPI, KServe).
- Hands-on with medical imaging formats (DICOM, NIfTI) and GPU optimization.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms and model deployment tools.
