Position Overview: Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Location: Rochester, NY – Multiple Residential Program Sites Department: Residential Services / Clinical Supports Reports To: Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) Employment Type: Full-Time Starting Wage: $25-$30 per hour Why You Should Work for Lifetime Assistance? Your Core Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OTR, including initial and annual assessments, treatment, and progress reporting. Develop and implement goals and objectives for inclusion in Individual Program Plans (IPP), collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team (IT). Deliver therapy to preserve and improve motor skills, mobility, daily living skills, and independence, while preventing progressive disabilities. Ensure integration of OT services with Day Programs and community supports when appropriate. Participate in all IT meetings, reviews, and staff development sessions. Maintain documentation including progress notes, monthly summaries, and clinical reports. Collaborate with OTR to identify and request necessary equipment and supplies. Provide consultation and clinical supervision to IT members, students, and volunteers as required. What You Bring: Current NYS license and registration as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) . One (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Commitment to person-centered care and supporting individuals in achieving independence.
