About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6am-2:30pm, 6am-4:30pm, or 6am-6:30pm Hours per Shift: 8, 10, or 12 hours available with a 6am start time Experience: Minimum years of experience required, must have OR experience and cardiac scrub experience License: Current licensure by the state board of nursing in Michigan Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: OR experience, cardiac scrub experience Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Availability for on-call shifts is required, with 48 hours of call in a six-week schedule period. Must be available for one weekend per month.
