Ultrasound Technologist

In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging and assisting our interventional radiologists in performing minimally invasive procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing, innovative practice focused on providing exceptional care to our patients. This position will be part-time, 1-2 days per week, between Monday and Thursday. Key Responsibilities: Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations as ordered by physician. Perform diagnostic and procedural ultrasounds to assist with Interventional Radiology procedures, including biopsies, drain placements, and catheter insertions. Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings and communicates findings to the appropriate physician Prepare patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedure. Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-resolution images of relevant anatomy. Work closely with the interventional radiology team to provide real-time imaging support during procedures. Review images for clarity, quality, and accuracy, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, sterilized, and calibrated. Assist in patient education, answering questions about the procedure and preparing them for the exam. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging, with a focus on interventional radiology, venous and vascular ultrasound. Experience with PAD. Current ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification or certification through ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) as a registered technologist in Sonography (R.T.(S)) is preferred but not required. BLS certification required. Strong knowledge of anatomy, ultrasound physics, and image interpretation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while maintaining attention to detail.
