Security Supervisor

Responsibilities Prepare and assist in the preparation of annual budget and operation forecast; produce regular and special reports; maintain necessary records and files. Ensure optimum guest service through delivery of excellent customer service. Collaborate with all departments to provide efficient security support when needed. Research and formulate policies and procedures. Conduct in‑depth confidential investigations to protect the assets, reputation and business integrity of the company. Research, examine, formulate, and present in‑depth analysis and reports to senior and corporate management regarding successes, challenges and opportunities to achieve optimum guest service, asset protection and business integrity. Establish and maintain a progressive and empowered workforce. Train, counsel, and coach assigned personnel; prepare and present performance appraisal reviews. Recommend and approve department changes, including hiring, promotion, demotion and termination of personnel. Recommend wage and salary adjustments within established guidelines. Maintain professional skills by staying abreast of current technical developments and participating in developmental programs. Handle employees' complaints or grievances; recommend disciplinary action or discipline employees. Monitor legal compliance with federal, state and gaming laws. Participate in the development of key assumptions and critical documents. Continuously evaluate and monitor Harrah’s Northern California activity and financial performance to ensure goals and plans are achieved. Communicate both written and orally with the department and senior management. Attend hearings at federal and state courts for Guest Liability Claims. Liaise with the Fire Department, Health Department, EPA, Sheriff’s Department and local police departments. Possess thorough knowledge of Microsoft Works, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher programs. Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Document employee accident reports for the property. Create, implement, and coordinate safety programs. Maintain confidentiality of information. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Five or more years’ experience in Security/Law Enforcement and Investigations, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity. Strong background in law enforcement and gaming; demonstrated business, communication, organization and leadership skills. Knowledge of Oklahoma Gaming regulations preferred; knowledge and working relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and gaming control authorities. Ability to conduct investigations; knowledge of gaming regulations and company internal controls. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Alcohol Awareness, First Aid and CPR certifications required. Must read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed; capable of performing a reasonable amount of overtime when required. Must be able to get along with co‑workers and work as a team. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods; maneuver throughout all areas of the casino. Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations. Must be able to see and remember specific details of incidents and people. Must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports. Must tolerate secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust. Present a well‑groomed, professional appearance. Preferred Qualifications Preference given to qualified Iowa tribal members and members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes.
