Are you a customer-focused collections professional who enjoys solving problems and helping customers? We are seeking a Collections & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing moving and storage company. In this role, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure timely payment of invoices, resolve billing concerns, and maintain accurate account records for residential and commercial moving projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone and email regarding past-due balances and outstanding invoices.
• Follow up on unpaid invoices for completed residential and commercial moves.
• Assist customers with questions regarding invoices, deposits, final move balances, and payment options.
• Respond to inquiries related to packing services, storage charges, delivery fees, and other moving-related expenses.
• Establish and document payment arrangements when appropriate.
• Investigate and help resolve billing disputes, payment issues, and account discrepancies.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Move Coordinators to research and resolve customer concerns.
• Review accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up on delinquent balances.
• Process, post, and apply customer payments accurately.
• Research unapplied cash, credits, deductions, and account adjustments.
• Maintain detailed collection notes and ensure customer account information remains up to date.
• Assist with invoicing, account reconciliations, and other daily A/R functions.
• Escalate seriously delinquent accounts to management as needed.
• Support month-end accounts receivable activities and reporting.
• Utilize accounting, billing, CRM, and other business systems to manage customer accounts efficiently.
• Leverage automated reminders and technology tools to organize and prioritize collection efforts.
