Elementary Teacher - 2nd grade Salary Range: Per Educator Agreement Salary Schedule Workweek Schedule: .5 FTE Closing Date: 8/12/2026 - Candidates will be reviewed upon submission. Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year Student Level: Second Grade Position Overview We are seeking a highly flexible, collaborative, and student-centered educator to join our 2nd grade team as a part-time teacher for the 20262027 school year. This one-year position involves working closely with grade-level colleagues to provide high-quality instruction in core content areas, including math and literacy. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment and is committed to supporting the academic and social growth of all students. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the 2nd grade team to plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction Provide targeted instruction in core subjects, including math and literacy Support differentiated learning to meet the diverse needs of students Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment Communicate effectively with team members, students, and families as needed Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and professional collaboration opportunities Qualifications Experience teaching at the elementary level Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to be flexible and responsive in a team-teaching environment Commitment to student-centered instruction and continuous improvement Other Qualities Positive, team-oriented mindset Strong organizational skills Passion for working with young learners Schedule This is a part-time position with a schedule to be determined in collaboration with the 2nd grade team and School Principal. Education and /or Experience Bachelor's degree in teaching, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicant must hold one of the following Minnesota Teaching License: K-5 Elementary Education. Experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program a plus but not required.
