Description
American Traveler is hiring a RN specializing in Wound/Ostomy Care for an inpatient acute care setting, requiring CWON/CWOCN certification and at least 2 years of wound/ostomy experience.
Details
- Inpatient acute care setting within a large hospital system
- Specializes in assessment, treatment, and management of complex surgical and traumatic wounds and ostomies
- Performs various dressing changes, wound vac application, and wound vac dressing changes
- Accurately assesses, measures, and classifies wounds and related skin conditions
- Provides patient teaching in an inpatient setting
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- No weekends, no call, and no holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) or Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of current wound care/ostomy nursing experience required
- Experience with large facility bed counts (500+) required
- Ostomy care experience and skill set covering all types of surgical and traumatic wounds required
Additional Information
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred (1-2 assignments)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Strong, experienced candidates are preferred given the facility's acuity and size
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
