Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification for a night shift assignment.

Details

• General ultrasound department within radiology/cardiology
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Call may be required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Performs general ultrasound, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Uses Samsung and PACS equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ARDMS certification required; AB, OB/GYN, and PS certifications preferred
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with OB/GYN imaging including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies, fetal anatomical survey, multiple pregnancy, and placenta previa preferred
• Experience with general ultrasound including abdominal aorta, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and pediatric abdomen/pelvis
• Experience with vascular studies including aorta, renal, bladder, and related anatomy
• Experience with small parts imaging including thyroid, testicles/scrotum, and superficial masses
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Experience with transplant studies of liver and renal preferred

Additional Information

• Works across diverse settings including Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, PICU, High Risk OB, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Obstetrics
• Performs portable imaging as needed
• Assists with procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis
• RTO must be submitted with application, and some holiday coverage is expected
• Pending license accepted at submission but must be active before start
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet required experience
